English is everywhere in KSK. Room 501 has been designated as an English Corner which aims to cultivate an English-rich environment for students to learn. Participating in various kinds of activities, students are able to experience a number of joyful moments in English Corner.

Every Tuesday from 4:15pm to 5:30pm (except school holidays and exam)

After furnishing, our English corner where has become a welcoming room for students to pay visit provides the following routine activities:

Reading
• Estensive Reading Scheme
A reading zone has been designated and all story books in English corner are categorized into 3 levels (High, intermediate and low). English teachers recommend students to borrow books from English Corner and finish their reading reports. Awards will be given to those who actively participate in this activity.

• Reading workshop
• Aim: To provide students with useful reading techniques
(scanning and skimming, back reference, guessing, general thematic questions)
• Target: junior form students
• Time: Second Term (5 lessons)

Speaking
• TSA consolidation workshop
As the extension of TSA workshop, extra practice will be conducted after school with more able students, aiming to consolidate skills learnt in class time.

• Speaking Practice for Public Exam
• Aim: To familiarize students with actual speaking public exam
procedures and level of difficulty
• Target: 4B + 5C

3.1 Writing workshop
• Aim: To recruit an editorial team for issuing K-station
• Target: junior form students
• Time: Third Term (10 lessons)

Listening
4.1 Songs, poems and movies appreciation day
• Aim: To provide chances for students to listen to English
• Target: junior form students
• Time: Third Term (2 times from 4:05pm-5:30pm)
