K-channel

Our school’s English Broadcasting, K-Channel, has been launched since 2007. This year, we welcomed the English Superman back to join our family. Although our K-reports have made many ridiculous mistakes, they have learnt a lot from the English Superman. I am sure that you all enjoyed their funny jokes on the stage and have also learnt a lot from their mistakes. Our K-reporters will do their best to keep producing high –quality programmes.

First K-channel Announcement

IT’S OVER!

(Hey, Tommy, have you finished your papers?)

TOMMY:               做完啦 !(Yes, it’s done!)

Ms Dale:                 Okay , pens down. It’s over.

(Tommy
(Tommy places the paper on Ms Dale’s head hard.)

Ms Dale:                 Oh﹗What’s going on ? Why did you hit me ?

MICHAEL:           Miss

(Miss Dale asked you why you hit her head! Oh My God, I have nothing to do with this. I’m going home now! (leaving)

TOMMY:               (grabbing Michael)冇呀﹗冤枉呀﹗Miss Ellie話 It’s over 吖 嘛,It’s 即係份卷啦﹗over即係上面, It’s over即係托起份卷…… (Nono! I am innocent. She told me to place the paper over her head! … Am I wrong again?

(English Superman’s them out)

Of course you are WRONG. “It’s over” means that’s the end. It doesn’t mean “up” here. Miss Dale was saying that you should put down your pen after finishing your paper. Do you understand?
Not putting the paper on her head!

MICHAEL & TOMMY:        哦,原來It’s over 係咁解……Ok, we’ve got it!

Bye, it’s over! See ya next time﹗

Second K-channel Announcement

Beautiful words

Miss Wong:

Good morning everybody. It’s time for K-channel again. I’m Miss Wong. Today I am going to teach you some useful expressions. So do pay attention and you may get a great prize!! This is my partner, English Superman. English Superman, would you like to say something to our students?

Superman:

Hello! Everybody. Today we are going to teach you some good words. What are good words? They are words that make people feel happy. We can speak these words to please our family, teachers, and friends. They will feel happy.

Miss Wong:

Then What is the first expression?

Superman:

The first expression is “You make a difference!” Boys and girls, can you read after me “You make a difference.”

Miss Wong:

I will be very happy if I hear this expression because this means I am so great! So influential! So important!!

Superman:

Yes. Miss Wong, can you tell our students its Chinese meaning?

Miss Wong:

Sure. ‘You make a difference.”

Superman:

The second expression is “What a great idea!” Boys and girls, can you read after me “What a great idea!.”

Miss Wong:

“What a great idea!”
What a great idea!”

Superman:

That’s right. So you can say “What a great idea!” to your group-mates next time if they have given good idea,

Miss Wong:

Ah, English Superman. I remember in the movie Shaolin Soccer 少林足球, Stephen Chow always said “你是最好的”. How do we say this in English?

Superman:

You can say “You are the best”. Boys and girls, Please read after me “You are the best.”

Miss Wong:

Let’s revise the three expressions we have learned today.

Superman:

O.K. Boys and girls please read after us.

You make a difference!
What a great idea!
You are the best.

Miss Wong:

It’s time to reward those who were very attentive. Is there anybody who still remember how to say these expressions. Who can speak this?

Superman:

Hope you remember these good words and speak to others. Make everybody happy. Thank you! See you!
